ABOUT
Hi. I’m Kristin. I’m just a mom following her dreams to pursue a simpler, healthier and more fulfilling life. I have a wonderful husband, if cynical at times, and two delightful boys. These days I spend most of my waking hours with the boys.

Originally from Minnesota, I ended up spending my entire professional life on the East coast. I started with an internship in NYC with Milton Glaser, a living designer who’s already in the history books for his iconic work. One opportunity led to another and before I knew it the planned 3-month adventure stretched into 3 years. I then made a move to Boston for my dream job, and built a career in innovation consulting. I really enjoyed my career — I faced really big questions from companies you would be familiar with, traveled all over the globe, and contributed to creative strategies using both my right and left brain. It really was quite fulfilling. But I trust that there is more than one way to live a fulfilling life, and right now the littles are my priority.
Shifting from more-than-fulltime professional life to mom life 24/7 has been a pretty big change for me. I know some have found it boring, but I feel like I’ve just shifted all that right and left brain energy in some new directions, and found so much there there. Inspiring perspectives on raising kids, improving the home, and focusing in on what we value and want our life to look like.
Now after over a decade of living the urban life on the East coast, my husband and I decided it was time to return to our roots in Minnesota. Somehow I convinced him to buy a farm so we can raise some animals, grow some of the best food money can’t buy, and raise our boys in the countryside. We bought a place that is probably larger than necessary (~80 acres) and definitely needs some work (old barn with hole in the roof, dated house.) It’s a nice piece of land though and we see a lot of potential. We’re not exactly clear where this will go, but we’ve got the patch of dirt, some buildings and lots of ideas.

Similarly, it’s not exactly clear where this blog will go, but I’ve got this little patch of internet and a bunch of ideas. I hope to share some inspiration as I pursue a simpler, healthier, and more fulfilling life.
Of course, I would be remiss not to mention my ultimate inspiration. I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am always striving to know him better, to do his will, and be a part of building his Kingdom. I know that I am failing all the time, and that makes me all the more thankful for my relationship with Him and his saving grace. This is another theme you’ll probably see throughout the blog.
Thanks for visiting!
