Just like we see these buds and we know the Magnolias are soon to bloom, God has been trying to get your attention and alert you to what’s ahead…
I know, I know, you have a lot going on. You’re just trying to stay afloat with all the demands of work, your kids, keeping up with housework. Or maybe you’re struggling with health issues in the family, relationships, or inner turmoil. Those things matter, but if you could just see God’s perspective for a moment, you would realize your biggest successes, your biggest struggles, just PALE in comparison with His glorious eternal plan.
I’ve been studying the book of Revelations leading up to Easter, and the major, major takeaway is this: “Yes, I am Coming!”
The bible is clear, we are in the end days. Nobody knows the day or hour when Christ will return. Your body may be above or below ground at the time. Either way it will come unexpectedly, and all your worldly concerns will be IRRELEVANT. Your life will be measured up and found wanting. Worthy of God’s eternal judgment — the flames, the plagues, all of that. The ONE thing that will save you is your relationship with Jesus Christ. (And more than just save you from the bad, it will gain you entrance to the new heaven and the new earth.)
In the end it comes down to this ONE thing.
How many things do you have on your schedule this coming week? How many of those things are about building your relationship with Jesus? Have you taken time to get to know Him? Does He know you?
The best way to get to know Him is through His words in the bible. Spend some time in it! Find other people who are trying to build their relationship with the Lord as well. At the very least, get yourself to a bible-believing church this coming Holy Week. There is so much good news to be heard!
